Last Thursday night I organised for my colleagues to participate in an office ArtJam session !!
We have recently expanded our office and the idea was to create some pieces of art to display in the "Club". The results were fab, and I am sure the office will be very bright and cheery once we have hung the masterpieces!!
Yesterday was our little sis' Ebonys 18th birthday!!
I can't believe that it was 18 years ago that I was in Year 5 and mum announced I was going to have a baby brother or sister!!
Now she is a young adult - and a beautiful one at that!! How fast time flies...
We are so proud of her and her achievements - she is such a gentle and caring soul - and a sister and friend that anyone would be happy to have as their own. She is the calm in the storm (well, I may have seen her create a couple of little storms in her life - but only a couple:) and the confident you want when you need an ear. She is loyal, ambitious and of course absolutely drop dead gorgeous!! She has her life ahead of her and with these qualities - what a life that will be!!
On Sunday night we were lucky enough to get tickets to the show jumping at the 2008 Olympics in Hong Kong. It was such a great experience being able to attend the event and take part in the festivities.
On Tuesday the 5th of August we hosted bookclub at our house. Will was the honorary male amongst 7 women (half his luck!!). This months book was "Mao's Last Dancer" by Li Cunxin.
Those that read it (yeap that's right, a bookclub where reading the book isn't essential) quite enjoyed it.
Yesterday we went on a Jaspas Junk trip to Tai Long Wan to celebrate Saf's birthday (which is actually today) - Happy Birthday Saf!!!
It was the most beautiful day, and we all ended up very sunburnt and sore - but feeling very content after a great day out in the sun, surf and sand. Gotta love Hong Kong summers...
I am a Lawyer, working and living in Hong Kong. Whilst law provides me with a profession, an income and intellectual stimulation, I am constantly looking for ways to indulge my creativity and stimulate the right side of my brain.
I am also a lover of design, and try to create spaces around me which are filled with happiness.
I have started this blog as a way of connecting more closely with my family and friends who I don't get to see very often, and also as a way to reflect on the little things in my life that make me happy.
I hope this site provides a source of inspiration, a little distraction to your day that puts a smile on your face, and a space that you can visit to spend a moment reflecting upon the little bits of happy in your life.
