Last night a group of us headed along to a Murder Mystery dinner at One Bar in Exchange Square. Not something we would usually put our hand up for, but upon a friends suggestion we went along for something different. It was an interesting night... and very fun catching up with friends
Stuart - being very protective of his clues... he's the ultimate detective:)
Lyndon being a good sport - and playing his part in the show as "Postmaster"
Stuart being introduced to Agnes Pennypincher... could she the murderer??
Last weekend we went to Shanghai for a mini-break. I was there for work during the week, and Will met me for the weekend.
We had a great time and really enjoyed touring around the city!! There are so many places to visit, loads of shopping to be done, and yummy food!
We managed to fit in a walk around the Bund, Xintiandi, Taikang, and the French Concession. We had a drink at The Glamour Bar and Face (both fab bars), and dinner at Whampoa Club and Fu 1088.
Will couldn't help himself - checking out all of the construction sites around town (and trust me - there were a few)!!
Freshly made mango ice-cream - yummmmmy
One of the funniest things happened - Will had a major wardrobe malfunction!! He wore one of his Ted Baker shirts to FU 1088 for dinner. It was a classic as the print on his shirt was the same as the wallpaper in the restaurant (except the flowers were different colours)!! Luckily the restaurant has a private dining set up and we had our own room so he wasn't subject to humiliation all night in front of the other diners (but I couldn't stop laughing)!! See pics below...
We went to M on the Bund for brunch on Sunday which was lovely (great views of Pudong and the city). Will indulged in a piece of one of M's famous Pavlova's (oh, and I might have had a taste too)!! It was YUMMMMM
There are so many beautiful old buildings along the Bund.
I am a Lawyer, working and living in Hong Kong. Whilst law provides me with a profession, an income and intellectual stimulation, I am constantly looking for ways to indulge my creativity and stimulate the right side of my brain.
I am also a lover of design, and try to create spaces around me which are filled with happiness.
I have started this blog as a way of connecting more closely with my family and friends who I don't get to see very often, and also as a way to reflect on the little things in my life that make me happy.
I hope this site provides a source of inspiration, a little distraction to your day that puts a smile on your face, and a space that you can visit to spend a moment reflecting upon the little bits of happy in your life.
