Dreaming of being here...

... instead of at work. Damn reality!
Not long to wait though, this time on Friday work will be a distant memory and we will be sitting on that sun lounger soaking up the sites and sipping cocktails, I mean mocktails... can't wait!

Tennis

Today we are off to Macau with friends to watch some tennis at the Venetian. Not just any tennis I might add, we are watching Sampras v Agassi ! Should be a good match. Oh, I am sure we will manage to fit in a little chow down at Fernando's too - after all, what would a trip to Macau be without visiting this famous institution? I have a confession to make - this will be the first live professional tennis match I have ever seen (gasp)! Have wanted to go to Wimbledon (mainly to have the strawberries and cream I must confess), or even the Australian Open, but have never managed to get there!

Anyhow, its a long weekend here in Hong Kong (Monday is a public hol) - so the best thing about heading to Macau (and getting back around midnight), is that we have all day tomorrow to rest and relax. Hmm, thinking I might make a lamb roast or something homely like that! Fancy coming round for dinner?

New York New York

One of the major reasons why there has been a blogging drought is because we had such an amazing trip to NY and I wanted to show you all of our pics - but it took sooooo long to download them that by the end, my mojo was GONE!! So, you are getting the pics - without the narration, I'm afraid! Save to say, we LOVED NY!!!

Cebu - CNY

We headed to Cebu in the Philippines for Chinese New Year.

We spent 7 nights at Abaca Resort, which is this lovely little boutique resort (9 rooms in total) with a fantastic restaurant located about 10 minutes from the aiport.

We had a poolside/oceanfront suite (see pic below - our room was the bottom left) for 6 nights, and then spent a night in one of their Suites (we got a complimentary upgrade)!! The resort is absolutely beautiful, and given its size - is completely relaxing. Considering it is only a 2 hour flight from HK, it makes for the perfect weekend getaway! Highly recommended :)

The Villa - we had a fab plunge pool and private courtyard all to ourselves!! Not to mention the bath - oh I love baths!!!!

The food was divine!

We spent our days by the pool, reading and relaxing. We were literally there from sunrise, to sunset ...coffee through to cocktails (and of course, some champagne) !! The ocean (which was right in front of the pool) was sooo crystal clear, amazing...

We couldn't even drag ourselves up to the restaurant for breakfast and lunch - so we opted to have it by the pool (the view was too nice)!!

One night we ventured into Cebu City to The Terraces, and went to The Gustavian for dinner. We also went to Shangri-la's Cowrie Cove for dinner one night - but all the others we spent in the resort!!

We took a day trip out to one of the islands Pandanon, which was about an hours trip from the resort. It was so pretty, and there were plenty of shells to collect (which is one of my favourite things to do) :)

This is the little church on Pandanon - it has to be the best church location I have EVER seen!!

Can you believe this, right in front of where we were sitting on the island, they started filming a porn movie!!! It was surreal. They were only shooting the female part, but it was so unbelievable. The island was quite remote, what are the chances!!! They took absolutely no notice of us and continued to film for about an hour!! Next time your watching a Japanese porn, if you see 2 people sitting on the beach in the back of the scene - it could be us, we could be famous!!!

We went jetskiing for the first time - it was SOOOOO much fun !!

We also spent a day in the CHI spa at the Shangri-la. The spa is set on 1 acre of land, and is absolute heaven. We spent some time in the communal facilities, then had our own private villa for the day and 2 therapists - we had 4.5 hours of treatments, including body scrubs, body wraps, Himalayan bath ritual, massage and facial, and then finished off with lunch in the spa restaurant. It was super relaxing, the therapists were perfect, and the whole experience complete BLISS. Totally recommend it!!
