Europe Trip - London

Here is a quick snapshot of our time in London (our first stop).

We stayed in the most fabulous B&B in Notting Hill called Millers Residence (see pics below). It was very eccentric, absolutely fabulous and HIGHLY recommended!! It was also only a stones throw from Portobello market (shopping mecca!!)

We managed to fit in lots of quality time with Verity (who is now living in London), and Tom & Lucy (whose wedding was the major impetus for our trip)!!

We enjoyed high tea at the Ritz (courtesy of our lovely friends who had bought Will a voucher for his birthday)!!

We strolled around the parks and visited Buckingham Palace

We went to see Wicked!!

We did the very touristy London bus trip (highly recommended - the guides are hilarious)!!!

We strolled around the banks of the Thames (searching for old pieces of pipes - don't ask)!!

We had dinner at Fifteen - Jamie Oliver's restaurant which was WONDERFUL (to say the least) - except a bit disappointing that Jamie himself wasn't there to cook for us:(

We went to Benares (a Michelin star Indian restaurant in Mayfair) with our good friends Verity, Tom & Lucy!!

We of course, shopped at Harrods (and yes, you will be pleased to know that we gave the ole credit cards a good run for their money!!!)

We sampled some good English pub fare!!

And some good ole fashioned cider (pear is my favourite)!!

We saw Big Ben, the London Eye, Westminster Abbey, Houses of Parliament, London Bridge, Tower Bridge, St Paul's Cathedral, Trafalgar Square, the National Portrait Gallery, the Tate Modern, Borough Markets, Covent Gardens etc etc (even the gherkin)!

From London we headed to Paris ...
